600 Posts and a New Logo

The universe has aligned in a delightful way for me in terms of blogging. A few things have come to a head at a wonderfully convenient time: A few weeks ago I settled on a new logo, and originally I was going to reveal it when my Potter Month ended, but I realised that I was also approaching my 600th post and what a better way to celebrate than with a logo reveal!

I’ve been thinking about a new logo for a little over a year but I couldn’t think of how to change it. I actually approached a couple of people looking to get a new design but with no success. It lay forgotten for a little while, but the niggling feeling of dissatisfaction wouldn’t go away. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago did I finally get a clear idea of what I wanted.

It’s not that different really, same colours, less red. It has a nice, simple but pretty look about it.  This isn’t my first logo change, and while I liked my other two, I really like this one so I’m hoping it hangs around for a long time.

As for the 600 posts, I don’t even know. It doesn’t feel like I’ve posted that many, but once you start going back through the archives you realise what a nice little back catalogue I’ve got going. It’s embarrassing thinking about some of my earlier posts, both reviews and random things. I have to keep reminding myself not only was I super new to blogging, but I was younger too, which is a good excuse for most things. I’ve certainly refined my blogging style, it’s got a hint of what it was, but that’s about all I’m willing to give it. Overall I can’t help be proud, and a bit impressed, considering those chaotic times during uni when the blog was thoroughly neglected. I don’t know where I’ll be in another 600 posts but it’s going to be exciting finding out.
